A Second-Order Singular Perturbation for Model Simplification for a Microgrid

چکیده
As the integration of electronic-interfaced devices have increased, microgrid models become too complex to perform a stability analysis. Thus, an effective model simplification method keeping most dynamics system becomes very essential. Singular perturbation is common way for simplification. However, its accuracy insufficient when nonlinear properties dominate. This caused by “Quasi-Steady State Assumption” that traditional singular holds. By assuming can only be stabilized fast variables stop variating, ignores some phenomena before stabilization occurs, leading loss dynamics. To improve accuracy, this paper proposes “second-order perturbation”. Here, State” updated scenario third-order derivatives zero stabilizes. The assumption covers more occurs. leads precise Simulation results indicate proposed outperforms in accuracy.

A NEW MODIFIED HOMOTOPY PERTURBATION METHOD FOR SOLVING LINEAR SECOND-ORDER FREDHOLM INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS
In this paper, we tried to accelerate the rate of convergence in solving second-order Fredholm type Integro-differential equations using a new method which is based on Improved homotopy perturbation method (IHPM) and applying accelerating parameters. This method is very simple and the result is obtained very fast.
متن کاملAnalytic Solution for Hypersonic Flow Past a Slender Elliptic Cone Using Second-Order Perturbation Approximations
An approximate analytical solution is obtained for hypersonic flow past a slender elliptic cone using second-order perturbation techniques in spherical coordinate systems. The analysis is based on perturbations of hypersonic flow past a circular cone aligned with the free stream, the perturbations stemming from the small cross-section eccentricity. By means of hypersonic approximations for the ...
متن کاملSingular Perturbation Models in Phase Transitions for Second Order Materials
A variational model proposed in the physics literature to describe the onset of pattern formation in two-component bilayer membranes and amphiphilic monolayers leads to the analysis of a Ginzburg-Landau type energy, precisely, u 7→ ∫ Ω [ W (u)− q |∇u| + ∣∣∇2u∣∣2 ] dx. When the stiffness coefficient −q is negative, one expects curvature instabilities of the membrane and, in turn, these instabili...
متن کاملSecond Order Singular Perturbation Models for Phase Transitions
Singular perturbation models involving a penalization of the first order derivatives have provided a new insight into the role played by surface energies in the study of phase transitions problems. It is known that if W : Rd → [0,+∞) grows at least linearly at infinity and it has exactly two potential wells of level zero at a, b ∈ Rd, then the Γ(L1)– limit of the family of functionals Fε(u) := ...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
